Holiday Seating

Last year we began an open seating policy for the High Holydays. The plan was successful and will be used again this year. Of course, we will have reserved seating for persons with special needs. Further, all members are guaranteed a seat. The success of the seating policy, as well as the Aliot policy, depends upon your cooperation. We urge you to return the enclosed High Holyday questionnaire involving seating, aliot, memorial names, greetings, etc. at your earliest convenience. We also urge you to reserve only those seats which you intend to use. In other words, if you do not expect to be in town or do not expect to attend some or all of the services, please advise us so that we can utilize all of our seating. Last year our Temple lost hundreds of dollars in seating revenue because members reserved seats which they did not occupy. Consequently, we could not fill some of the seat orders from non-members. Likewise, there are members who request Aliot for themselves and family members, and then do not attend the service at which the Aliot have been assigned. An aliyah is an honor, and we would like to have an aliyah assigned to every person who desires such an honor. If your plans change after you have sent in your requests for seats and Aliot, please call the office so that we can make full use of our seating and best use of all Aliot. Your cooperation on these matters will be of great assistance to the Seating Committee, the Ritual Committee and our entire congregation.
